Commercial House
Commercial house is a single-story trade counter currently operated by a tenant of North Mersey Business Centre, Curtis and Bell - Commercial Stationers. This is one of the first of Phase 8 Development Company's projects.
The Project
The former waste transfer yard on Depot Road is now the home to a new office building. The new-build office was originally designed for North West Commercials Ltd. The single-storey office building has been constructed in partnership with Sticx who are based in Wallasey.
Construction of the main timber frame structure was done by 2 NEET trainees.
The rest of the building was finished by another 3 NEET trainees with the help of Phase 8 Development company construction team.
The overall build time of the project was 11 weeks, from foundation to hand over of the keys.
The building is clad in Thermowood for a modern aesthetic and has a rubberised standing seam roof. The building is insulated past basic building regulations. This is also the first of a couple of units that will be going onto the site.
